Fun in the sun

June 24, 2010

My 3 girls

WOW! What an awesome day for a parade. The girls were happy put on their dresses and sandles instead of coats and boots. The weather was mild and even got a little hot at the end. This is our first St. Patrick’s parade even though this is the 32nd annual event along FM 1960. No need for location scout, we got a perfect spot right infront of our studio office…Cherish Moments Photography.

Matching dresses…even the cotton candies were G R E E N !

The girls were at awe…

Texas Senator Dan Patrick joined in the parade

HEY! Some beads over here!A leprechaun on ride lawn mower…how dangerous!

WHEW! That was hard beads work. Time to catch some shade.

Vietnam Temple

March 1, 2010

Here we are at Vietnam Temple on the last weekend of February 2010. We had all the intentions catching a dragon dance at an annual Houston Lunar New Year event held at Viethoa Center. After an hour of grid lock traffic and looping thru several aisles searching for a parking spot, we decided on a more relaxing place to spend our time.

Gorgeous weather!

A little sisterly secret…

Happy Vietnamese’s New Year

February 14, 2010

TET 2010 at Chua Tu Bi Quan Am Tu located on a rural stretch of road in Cypress, TX. The weather was perfect for such a festive event. The 2010 Chinese New Year is in perfect alignment with Valentine’s Day. 2010 is the year of the Tiger which is Lunar Year 4708 in Chinese calendar.

We arrived at the nick of time for the dragon dance.

The smoke and aroma of burning incents filled the air. The fire crackers were loud and fierce to chase off bad spirits and welcoming the new year.

Winter Wonderland

January 24, 2010

Swenke Elementary school hosted the first annual Winter Wonderland on January 23, 2010.  The event was GRAND with many helping hands from the parents, staff, students from local high and junior high schools.  Local businesses such as A Bouncing Adventure were big contributors to this fun fest.
Swenke first opens its doors to students and staff in August 2009. Situated just few miles behind the Houston Premium Outlet, Swenke Elementary school sits on a 14-acre site at the corner of Fairfield Place Drive and Schiel Road. The school was architect by Bay Architects and is the 50th elementary campus of Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District.
